Kool Aid Fudge – 3 Ingredients!
Kool Aid Fudge is one of the easiest and fun projects you can make with kids. All it takes is 3 ingredients and some refrigeration time.
Kool Aid Fudge is so fun to make! No messy food coloring to stain you counters and couch and you need just 3 ingredients, if you are making one flavor only. This Kool Aid Fudge was a hit during a play date that we hosted. The kids loved choosing their favorite flavors and see how the mix turned into colorful fudge. You can cut the fudge into squares or roll it into balls, both are fun to make and eat. This fudge is made just using a microwave, no stove or candy thermometers involved, so you don’t have to worry about hot, bubbling candy! Sweet, with fun Kool-Aid flavors and colors, this is always a hit with kids and adults that have a sweet tooth.
We do love our Kool Aid here, check this fun and colorful Kool Aid Play Dough!
Tips and Tricks to make the perfect Kool-Aid Fudge:
- Use high quality white chocolate, that is the main ingredient so you want it to be the best in order to get the best taste and texture.
- White chocolate is very pretentious, so be extra, extra careful when melting it, I do 20-30 seconds intervals in the microwave and lots of stirring to make sure I am not overheating it, if you overheat the white chocolate it will clump and separate and it will become unusable unfortunately.
- Use your favorite Kool-Aid flavors. You can mix a few like I did for a swirled fudge.
- You can chill and cut the fudge in squares, or chill for about 30 minutes, and while its still soft to slice and roll it into fudge balls. After that, refrigerate until completely settled.
Tools/Ingredients I used to make this Kool-Aid Fudge Recipe:
- White Chocolate Wafers – they are designed to melt quicker and easier, which I find perfect for fudge recipes.
- 8 inch square pan – I use it for many recipes, brownies, fudge and blondies. The quality is great and I like the perfect measurements, it works great for smaller batch recipes.
- Kool-Aid – get a variety pack so you never run out and have it on hand for many other Kool projects.
Kool Aid Fudge - 3 Ingredients!
Kool Aid Fudge is one of the easiest and fun projects you can make with kids. All it takes is 3 ingredients and some refrigeration time.
Ingredients
- 20 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
- ½ cup + 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
3 Kool Aid mixes:
- Lemonade
- Cherry
- Tropical Punch
Instructions
-
Line a 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, so it overhangs on two sides. Set aside.
-
Combine the chocolate and condensed milk in a large, microwave safe bowl.
-
Microwave in 20 seconds increments and stir after each one until the chocolate has melted. It took me two intervals only to melt the chocolate, make sure you stir well before you microwave again, as the remaining heat will melt the chocolate. Stir well until smooth.
-
Note: If you are using regular chocolate bars, make sure you chop it into small pieces before adding it to the bowl to microwave.
-
If using 3 Kool Aid mixes, divide the melted chocolate into 3 bowls, and stir in the Kool Aid mixed into each one.
-
Add the mixed chocolate to the lined pan, swirl and combine, smooth the top with a spatula and refrigerate for 2 hours.
-
Optional: you can mix in dried cherries and sprinkles. I have tried it with a different batch and the dried cherries work nicely with the white chocolate.
-
Fudge can be stored at room temperature for 4-5 days in an airtight container.

This looks like a sweet treat for sure. I know all about melting chocolate too long….especially white chocolate….have thrown it out a few times in the past. This would be a great holiday treat…like red and green Christmas fudge.

What a great idea! The kids would certainly have fun with this. They could even pick out their favorite flavors. I’m thinking of a Halloween theme. How fun would that be?? Orange Kool-aid plus add some chocolate somewhere. I’ll have to think on this one. Thank you for the inspiration.
